Alan McMillan Chief Executive Officer

Working closely with the Board and Staff, Alan is responsible for the strategic direction of Bowls Scotland, as well as overseeing the daily delivery of the organisation.



Sarah Pryde-Smith (She/Her) Business Operations Manager

Responsible for providing the strategic direction for Development, Sarah leads and manages the Development team. In addition, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the organisation and is responsible for leading and managing the Administration team.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, Sarah has shared responsibility of delivering Bowls Scotland’s Strategy.

Adam Martin (He/Him) Coach & Volunteer Manager

Adam is responsible for the coach and volunteer development objectives within the Bowls Scotland Strategy. Adam's focus is to provide quality opportunities for coaches, leaders and volunteers to develop and in turn increase the quality, quantity and diversity of the Bowls coaching and volunteering network across Scotland.

Stuart Bell (He/Him) National Development Officer - NORTH

Stuart is the National Development Officer (NDO) for Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Highland, Moray, Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles.  Stuart is also the strategic lead for Try Bowls.

As an NDO, Stuart is responsible for working with clubs to develop quality environments that provide increased, quality opportunities for people to participate at all levels.  Stuart works with clubs via Try Bowls and BowlsMark, as well as other Bowls Scotland national programmes and projects.

Bob Christie Para Bowls Co-Ordinator

Bob is responsible for ensuring visually impaired and physically disabled para players are prepared to compete on the world stage.

Lawra Cox Competitions & Events Manager

Responsible for planning, organising and delivering Bowls Scotland’s competitions and events.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, Lawra has shared responsibility of delivering Bowls Scotland’s Strategy.

Eve Wallace (She/Her) Competitions and Events Officer

Eve assists the Competition and Events Manager in the planning and delivery of all Bowls Scotland's Competitions and Events. 

Tom Weir Competition & Events Co-Ordinator

Tom is responsible for providing high quality and efficient administrative and general support to clubs, volunteers and the Competition & Events team.

Kelly Anderson (She/Her) Membership and Business Officer

Kelly is responsible for delivering membership services and business intelligence support across Bowls Scotland.

Laura Anderson (She/Her) Administrative Officer

Laura provides administrative support to the organisation, with a focus on safeguarding, club development and coach education.

Ellison Nwaejike Finance Manager

Ellison has overall responsibility for carrying out and/or monitoring all financial activities and processes within the organisation.

Ashleen Cousins (She/Her) Marketing Officer

Ash is responsible for working across the organisation to promote the sport of lawn bowls to new and current audiences through online platforms and the Bowls Scotland website.

Darren Weir Communications Officer

Responsible for communicating with players, supporters, staff and directors via online platforms. Darren is in charge of the general running of our Website and Social Media networks, making sure everyone is kept up-to-date with everything that goes on at Bowls Scotland.
